Our studio offers a unique combination of style and substance, featuring a fresh, inviting atmosphere with state-of-the-art Reformer machines. What is Reformer Pilates?

Reformer Pilates is a unique form of Pilates that utilizes a Reformer machine to enhance your workout. Reformer Pilates provides resistance and support for a dynamic, full-body experience. Benefits include improved posture, core strength, increased flexibility, and stress relief. It’s suitable for all fitness levels, from beginners to seasoned athletes. Classes change daily and vary by instructor.

Shawna B

Shawna's journey into the world of fitness and wellness began at a remarkably young age. Her passion for movement was ignited when she took her first dance class at just four years old. Over the next 15 years, dance became an integral part of her life, shaping her understanding of physical fitness and instilling a lifelong commitment to health.

Shawna's vision for Balance by Shawna B. extends beyond simply offering Reformer Pilates classes.  Her personal approach and commitment to her clients' well-being reflect her deep-rooted belief in the positive impact of health and wellness.

Through Balance by Shawna B, Shawna continues to inspire and guide her community, bringing the principles of balance, strength, and holistic health to Picayune and beyond.

Ally R.

After welcoming Ally's second baby, she discovered a profound passion for Reformer Pilates that transformed her life and well-being. With a strong background in dance, having trained for 16 years, Ally has seamlessly integrated the grace and discipline of dance into her Pilates practice. Ally participated in classical Reformer Pilates in San Diego and after moving back to Picayune, Ally has enjoyed exploring various studios and innovative practices. Her journey has been one of deep personal growth and healing, and she is so excited to share this transformative experience with others.

Jillian N.

As a dancer of 18 years, Jillian developed a keen understanding of body mechanics, alignment, and strength. It was her dance background that naturally led to her fascination with Reformer Pilates, a discipline that complements and enhances the skills acquired through years of dance training. We believe that Jillian brings a unique perspective to Pilates instruction, merging a dancer’s precision and grace with the transformative benefits of Pilates. Jillian is committed to helping others achieve their fitness goals and cannot wait to use her rich dance background and Pilates training to do just that!

Alexis T.

With 16 years of dance experience, Alexis brings a deep understanding of body mechanics to her Reformer Pilates teaching. Her dance background has instilled a passion for movement, strength, flexibility, and alignment, all of which she incorporates into her classes. Alexis is dedicated to helping clients feel empowered, balanced, and deeply connected to their bodies through Reformer Pilates. Alexis is a member of the String of Pearls Dance team at PRCC.

Cailey F.

Cailey’s passion for Pilates is rooted in the vibrant and supportive community that makes every class an uplifting experience. The encouraging atmosphere drives her to push herself harder, and she loves helping others do the same. Her journey with movement began at the age of 1 when she started dancing, and her deep appreciation for body awareness and technique has shaped her Pilates teaching. Cailey is committed to creating a positive, motivating space where clients feel inspired to reach their fitness goals while building strength, flexibility, and confidence. Join her on the Reformer and experience the energizing power of Pilates!

Introduction to Reformer Classes

An excellent way to get started, as it provides the knowledge and skills needed to effectively use the Reformer. We suggest attending at least one introductory class before progressing to Reformer Pilates!

FAB 40+

Designed specifically for those aged 40 and up who are looking for a slower-paced reformer class! This session focuses on low-impact exercises that promote strength, stability, and overall fitness without the intensity of traditional workouts.

Prayers & Pilates

Join us for a unique and uplifting class that combines faith and fitness in a peaceful setting! Our class begins with a 10-15 minute group devotional, creating a space for reflection, gratitude, and connection with a supportive community. Following this devotional, we'll move into a blend of stretches and classical Reformer Pilates! All levels are welcome.

In our “Stretch and Restore” class, you will engage in gentle yet effective movements designed to enhance flexibility and promote relaxation!

Couples Reformer Pilates

Reconnect and strengthen together in our Couples Reformer Pilates class! This session is designed to help you and your partner improve flexibility, core strength, and posture while deepening your bond. With dual Reformer setups, you’ll move through synchronized exercises tailored to your fitness levels and goals, ensuring both challenge and support. Perfect for all levels – bring your partner and discover the power of moving in harmony!
